Meet the founders
Maxime SarthetMaxime Sarthet is the CEO of Equisafe, which he acquired in December 2024, bringing years of crypto ecosystem expertise to the company. A co-founder of PyratzLabs, a Web3 startup studio, Maxime has deep knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, and financial innovation. He previously served as CFO of GamersOrigin, one of France's top professional esports organizations. Maxime holds a degree in business strategy from ESCP Business School.

Frédéric BertoïaFrédéric Bertoia is the CTO and co-founder of Equisafe, which he helped launch in 2019, combining legal expertise with deep technical skills in blockchain development. A former M&A lawyer at EY, Frédéric transitioned into tech and has spent the past five years building Equisafe's infrastructure as lead developer. With over seven years of experience in the crypto ecosystem, he brings a rare dual perspective on the legal and technical challenges of tokenization. Frédéric trained as a lawyer at EFB Paris and completed the developer program at 42 Paris.

Benjamin RameauBenjamin Rameau is a board member and investor in Equisafe, bringing a rare combination of traditional finance depth and crypto-native experience. A founding team member of Binance Labs, he helped incubate some of the most successful projects in blockchain, including Hyperliquid, Polygon (ex-Matic), and Injective. Benjamin previously spent a decade in investment banking, serving as Director at BNP Paribas in Hong Kong and Tokyo covering 7 of the world's 10 largest asset managers.

Thomas ZaepffelThomas Zaepffel is an investor in Equisafe, bringing deep expertise as a serial entrepreneur across finance and Web3. He is co-founder of Kerria AM Group, a Paris-based real estate asset management platform with over €500M in rehabilitated assets, operating three investment vehicles: Jerikho IM, Mineral, and Florestan IM. Thomas is also co-founder and CEO of Coliseum, a next-gen tournament platform designed to stop cheats and reward true skill, and previously co-founded Immortal Game, pioneering the first chess play-to-earn game. He previously co-founded Adot, a data-driven mobile programmatic advertising platform, sold to Veepee.

Édouard NarbouxEdouard Narboux is an investor in Equisafe, bringing over a decade of expertise in financial operations and capital markets advisory. He is Managing Director of Aether Financial Services, a firm specialized in agency services for M&A, DCM, and ECM operations, as well as corporate services including domiciliation and directorship. Edouard is also Managing Founder of Alcé Equity Advisory, and serves as a board member at ScaleX Invest by Early Metrics. He teaches finance as a guest lecturer at Montpellier Business School.
